Food lover’s Market is looking for a Fruit And Veg General Assistant to join the team on a permanent basis, to begin as soon as possible.
Requirements
- Completion of the provided training program.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient understanding of food allergies and modified diets.
- Proficient understanding of Health requirements.
- Excellent people skills.
- Available to work shifts and extended hours.
- Must have sound knowledge of fruit and veg
- Must have experience in a retail environment
Key Performance Outputs:
- Stock control.
- Batch control.
- Labelling control and printing.
- Capturing data from production runs.
- Generating Packout reports.
- Ensuring each production run balance.
- Identifying and fixing production mistakes.
- Pallet intakes and consignments.
- Generating PPECB inspection documents.
Responsibilities
Managing the fruit and veg department to maximize gross profit
- Responsibility for smoothly running of the department
- Order processes, estimates of the amounts and frequencies of the required products
- Responsibility for leadership of the staff
- Organisation and controlling of inventory
- Responsibility for the freshness and variety of the assortment
- Perfect presentation of goods
- Comply with sanitation and safety standards
- Ensure wastage is at a minimum
- Good knowledge of fruit and vegetables
- Able to know the product range in the fruit and veg department
